Manchester United triggered contract extension for Rashford - Reports

Manchester United is reportedly begun talks to extend Marcus Rashford’s contract after the attacker has enjoyed some tremendous form recently. Old Trafford seeks to ensure that Marcus Rashford will stay with the team for as long as possible by renewing his contract, according to Press reports. The Athletic News Journal based in Manchester indicated that the club has already held initial talks with Rashford's representatives about new terms and further talks are scheduled. The report stated that Rashford sees him as an integral part of the club on the pitch, and Eric Ten Hag considers that the player's future is a priority for him and the team. The report claimed that the United Board feared Paris Saint-Germain's French interest in signing Rashford in the next stage. Rashford has scored 16 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions since the World Cup. Rashford has looked unstoppable during this run of late. The 25-year-old looked lost at times last season as United toiled to their lowest point tally of the Premier League era, but he looks like a player reborn following the mid-season departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
