Haller scores first goal for Dortmund after recovering from cancer

Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller scored for the first time since his return from cancer treatment as Borussia Dortmund crushed 10-man Freiburg 5-1 in the Bundesliga. Sébastien Haller scored his first competitive goal for Borussia Dortmund and also his first Bundesliga goal in 1358 days (his first one since May 18th, 2019, for Frankfurt at FC Bayern).  The Ruhr valley club, was in superb form as they made it four wins out of four league games since the restart and move up to 37 points. Haller had joined the Dortmund team last summer, coming from Ajax in a deal worth 29 million euros, before it was announced that he had testicular cancer, just one week after joining the team. The Ivorian striker succeeded in being treated for cancer, returned to training at the end of last December, and participated in a number of friendly matches before the resumption of the German League, after a long hiatus, due to the 2022 World Cup competitions in Qatar.
