Tembah Report: Barcelona’s Xavi makes history in La Liga

The Barcelona team, led by coach Xavi Hernandez, finished the first round of the Spanish League competition, sitting on top of its closest competitor, Real Madrid. FC Barcelona is on course to make history with a 100-point season following their latest win on the road at Real Betis. Barcelona achieved a 2-1 victory over Real Betis, on Wednesday evening, at the “Benito Villamarin” stadium, the stronghold of the Andalusian club, which was postponed from the 17th round of La Liga. In his first season from the start of the Spanish League, Xavi became the fourth coach in Barcelona's history to reach the 50-point barrier during half a La Liga season. In comparison to Saturday's 1-0 scrape against Girona, the Blaugrana were in complete control at the Estadio Benito Villamarin where they went two ahead thanks to strikes from Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
