Mourinho bids a tearful farewell to the Italian Cup

AS Roma's coach Jose Mourinho bids a tearful farewell after Roma left the Italian Cup in the quarter-finals, losing to guest Cremonese 2-1 on Wednesday at the Olympic stadium. "We paid the price for our mistakes that the players committed on the pitch," Mourinho told the club's official website. Mourinho added, "Congratulations to the Cremonese for the victory. They succeeded in winning two difficult matches against Rome and Napoli". He went on to say, "The Italian Cup tournament is always strange because it is outside expectations most of the time." Cremonese eliminated the Italian league leader, Napoli in the round of 16 and won a penalty shootout after playing most of the extra time with 10 men after the match finished 2-2.
