After a bid is knocked back, Arsenal eye shock January transfer for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho

Arsenal is now set to end their attempts to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo before the end of this month, according to reports. The English newspaper “The Sun” reported that Jorginho had received the green light from the Chelsea administration, in order to join Arsenal during the current winter Mercato in a final transfer deal. The newspaper added that the Italian midfielder agreed to his transfer to the Gunners, and he will undergo routine medical examinations during the next few hours, before the official signing of his contract to join Arsenal. The Gunners made their second offer over the weekend of £65m plus another £5m in add-ons but Brighton immediately rejected the bid as they remain adamant Ecuador international will be going nowhere. For its part, the English radio station "Tac Sport" revealed that Chelsea wants to obtain 10 million pounds in the deal for Jorginho's departure to Arsenal. Jorginho, 31 years old, joined the Blues in the summer of 2018, coming from the Italian club Napoli, in a deal worth 57 million euros.
