Barcelona: Aguero is back playing sports following his retirement due to heart problems

The Argentine frontman and former Barcelona and Man City star Sergio Aguero is back playing sports following his retirement from football due to heart problems. Aguero appeared as a guest star for Yellow Night 2023 event. Just over a year on from his retirement, Aguero has been announced as a guest player for the 2023 Noche Amarilla, a yearly friendly fixture played by Ecuador outfit Barcelona SC. Aguero appeared for 18 minutes in the friendly “Yellow Night” game, which brought together the Ecuadorian teams Barcelona Guayaquil and Moshuk Rona, and allowed Guayaquil to present itself to its fans before the new season, as well as a farewell to Argentine Matias “Bonnie” Oyola, who played with him for 13 years. There was much excitement when Sergio Aguero left Manchester City to join Barcelona in the summer of 2021. The Argentine had an incredibly prolific spell at the Premier League giants, and there was much hope that he could do the same at Camp Nou. However, he ended up scoring just once in five games, as a heart condition forced Aguero into retirement. His final professional appearance came against Alaves on the 30th of November 2021, but he has now made a sensational return to the sport for a one-off occasion, having been given the okay by doctors. Fittingly, he appeared for Ecuadorian side Barcelona SC in a friendly against Mushuc Runa on Sunday morning. He came on as a substitute and played 18 minutes as the hosts won 1-0, and Sport stated that Aguero had committed to an appearance for Barcelona next year too. Aguero was one of the greatest natural goal-scorers in modern football, and Barcelona missed him when he was forced to retire. Luckily for the Blaugrana, they have another player that is in the conversation in Robert Lewandowski. Former Argentine soccer player Sergio “Con” Aguero returned to play more than a year after his retirement due to a heart condition, in the Ecuadorian club Barcelona shirt to participate in the “yellow night” of the Guayaquil city team. Almost about bout 40,000, fans attended the “yellow night event” during which Barcelona presented its numbers for the 2023 season, during which he will play again in the Libertadores Cup.
