The Spanish Copa del Rey (King's Cup) semi-final between Real Madrid and Barcelona

The draw for the Spanish Copa del Rey (King's Cup) semi-final resulted in a fiery Clasico between the two traditional rivals, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The draw, which took place on Monday, resulted in a fiery clash in the semi-finals between the Catalan teams, where the first leg will be held at the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, while the “second leg will be hosted at Camp Nou” stadium. The draw also resulted in Athletic Bilbao facing up Osasuna in the other match of the semi-finals. The semi-finals of the King’s Cup will be held with a home-and-away system, with the first match being on the stadiums of the clubs that were mentioned first in the draw. FIFA would announce their tournament to take place in the first two weeks of February (from 1 to 11) - dates which coincide with the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals (8 February). On that day, Real Madrid will be in Morocco playing their first game of the Club World Cup - they will face the winners of Match 2 (Seattle Sounders vs Match 1 win winner Ahly vs Auckland]) in the semi-final.
If Madrid eliminates Atlético, they will progress to the Copa del Rey semi-final which will be played on the same day, 8 February. Faced with this problem, the Federation has lined up other possible dates for the tie.
The first-leg matches will be held on February 8 and 9, while the return matches will be held on March 1 and 2, with the final match on May 6 of this year.
