Barcelona seeks to regain a historic record in La Liga

C Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is seeking to set to regain another record in the Spanish League competition during the current season 2022-2023. Mundo Deportivo, the  Spanish nationwide daily sports newspaper published in Barcelona, stated that if Barca beat Real Betis, coach Xavi's team would finish the first leg in La Liga with 50 points, which is the highest number recorded in the history of the league for the Catalan team under the leadership of Vilanova, who won the title by scoring 100 points. Barcelona scored 47 points after 18 matches in the Spanish League this season, achieving 15 victories, in addition to two draws and one defeat. FC Barcelona continued their successful start in La Liga Santander this season, defeating their hosts Girona 1-0 today in the 19th round of the competition.
