Man City's Haaland wins Player of the Year award in Norway
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has been named the best Player of the year after brilliance in his career in England's various competitions. Haaland succeeded in winning the Best Player award in Norway for the third year in a row, thanks to the player's impressive performance, whether with his club Manchester City or his country's national team. The City star was crowned with the Norway Player of the Year award, ahead of Arsenal's playmaker Martin Odegaard, who won the award in 2019. Halland is the top scorer in the English Premier League this season with 25 goals, after scoring a hat-trick against Wolverhampton in the 21st round of the competition. Haaland had joined Manchester City last summer as the City reportedly paid the Norwegian’s 60 million euro (around $63 million) release clause, bringing an end to the EPL champion’s search for a striker following the departure of record scorer Sergio Agüero last summer.
