Bayern Munich Manager reacts after tying with Cologne
After a 1-1 draw with Cologne in the seventeenth round of the German League, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann reacted to what he'd just seen. The Bavarians escape from Cologne with a point, so it could have been worse. Nagelsmann said in the press conference: "The draw point is deserved. We played a very good match in the second half. The two draws so far this year are not enough for what we have in mind." He added: "We were the best in the second half, Colin defended deeply and made it difficult for us. If we had scored the equalizer early, it would have been difficult for them. The way we played in the second half was just as I wanted it to be. I'm sure we will get back to winning ways if We played like the second half." Regarding Goritska's substitution between the two halves of the match, the Bavarian coach said: "Lyon's change was due to dizziness after a head-on collision with Colin's player before the end of the first half, and not because of his performance." When asked about replacing Gnabry because of his trip to Paris, Nagelsmann said: "I am talking about what I see on the field and not outside it. The switch was because I needed new blood between the two halves and it has nothing to do with other things. It is only about what I saw on the field." Bayern Munich remains at the top of the Bundesliga standings this season with 36 points.
