Owner Farhad Moshiri puts Everton up for sale

Just 24 hours after Frank Lampard was fired, owner Farhad Moshiri has put Everton up for sale during the coming period with an asking price of $615 million, according to a report from the Guardian. The British newspaper, “The Guardian”, said that Everton club is ready for sale, after the team’s level deteriorated. The newspaper added that Moshiri is looking for offers worth around £500m to sell the club, in which he has been a majority shareholder since 2016, and there have been a number of potential buyers who have expressed interest in buying the club. Everton has spent more than $860 million on player transfers since Moshiri bought the club in 2016, with only $500 million (58 percent of the total spend) brought back through sales. Everton ranks 19th in the Premier League table, with 15 points after 20 games. Everton sacked Frank Lampard for the team's poor results during the last period.
