Messi returns to Qatar a month after their World Cup triumph

The Argentine legend and PSG) star Lionel Messi now returns to Qatar one month after Argentina's World Cup victory as he gears up for their winter tour. The French giants will face Cristiano Ronaldo-led Riyadh XI in a friendly on January 19. Messi returns to Qatar exactly 31 days after his coronation in the 2022 World Cup at the expense of the French team in the match by penalty kicks, after a tie-in and extra time with a tie 3-3. The Parisian will play a lonely training session in Doha, before heading to Saudi Arabia to compete in the Riyadh Season Cup, against Al-Hilal Stars and Al Nasr team, led by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. This is considered the first meeting of Cristiano Ronaldo, after signing for the Saudi victory during the current winter transfer period, after his contract with Manchester United was terminated. PSG will spend just a few hours in Doha, where they will train at the Khalifa Stadium and take part in a series of advertising engagements with Qatar commercial entities. Doha is already a regular destination for the Qatari-owned club, which has visited on seven different tours in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2018, 2019, and 2022.
