French Federation President Le Graet is under an official investigation

French reports confirmed that the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation regarding moral harassment and clear accusations of harassment against Noel Le Graet, former president of the French Football Federation. According to the French newspaper "L'Equipe", the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday they had opened an investigation for moral and sexual harassment against French soccer federation (FFF) president Noel Le Graet. Le Graet, who has previously denied allegations of sexual harassment during an audit commissioned by the sports ministry, last week “took a step back” from his duties, with Philippe Diallo acting as interim president, the FFF said. Le Graet was not immediately available for comment on Tuesday. “In response to a report from the IGESR (General Inspection of Education, Sport, and Research) on 13 January 2023, an investigation was opened yesterday into charges of moral harassment and sexual harassment,” the prosecutor’s office told reporters. After Sonia Sweden's statements, the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office decided to open an urgent investigation against former French Federation President Noel Le Graet, who left office on January 11, because of his statements against Zinedine Zidane, former French legend. The Board of Directors of the French Football Federation had decided to appoint Philippe Diallo as the interim president of the Football Association, following the dismissal of Noel Le Graet from his post.
