The English newspaper “Standard” reported that Arsenal returned to its previous target, which is the Brazilian and Barcelona player Rafinha, who tried to sign him last summer when he was in the ranks of the Leeds United team. The newspaper added that Arsenal's first-ever Sporting Director, Edu Gaspar, has already made contact with Rafinha's agent, Deco, about a possible transfer in January after Chelsea successfully snatched up a bid for Mykhailo Modryc. The newspaper indicated that Mikel Arteta is keen to add a striker who can help the team win the Premier League title, as it is five points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, with a match in hand.
