The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the 39th edition of the Spanish Super Cup for the third consecutive time between Jan. 11 and 15, 2023 with the participation of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Real Betis, as part of the Diriyah Season 2022. Real Madrid (La Liga Champion) will play against Valencia in the semifinal, while Real Betis (Cup Champions) will play against Barcelona, with the winners playing the final match. The final will take place on Sunday 15th January between the winners of both matches. The King Fahd Stadium will host all the matches of the competition. Barcelona leads the list of clubs most crowned with the Spanish Super Cup, with 13 titles won so far, the last of which came in the 2018 edition. Madrid, who has already lifted the European Super Cup this season, has won the Spanish Super Cup 12 times. The Catalan is superior in the ranking to its traditional rivals, Real Madrid, which came runner-up with 12 titles, as it was crowned the title of the last edition 2021-2022.
