Man United planning to renew De Gea's contract

Press reports revealed Manchester United is likely to activate David de Gea's contract extension in the summer and will instead look for a new goalkeeper when the 2022-23 season comes to close. De Gea, 32-years-old, joined Manchester United in the summer of 2011 from Atletico Madrid, in a deal worth 25 million euros. The English newspaper “The Times” reported that the United Board is in talks with the Spanish goalkeeper, in order to sign a new contract after the strong performance he presented during the recent period with the club.The newspaper added that if the two agreed to sign a new contract, it would be likely for two seasons at the latest, as De Gea played 508 matches with Manchester United in various competitions.
