Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema’s manager has intensified the crisis between him and the French coaching staff after the player’s injury during the World Cup in Qatar. Deschamps had ruled out Benzema from the French camp in Qatar after suffering an injury a few days before the start of the World Cup. According to press reports, the France coach took advantage of Benzema's minor injury, which would have required a week at most, and decided to exclude him from the roosters' camp. Benzema announced his retirement from international football last week, on the sidelines of his differences with Deschamps, who lost the World Cup final in the last edition to Argentina, on penalties.
