The UEFA issues this classification annually for the clubs that play in the competitions, determines their ranking in terms of the best points, their results in European competitions throughout the year. Manchester City is the top-ranked team of 2022, toppling Bayern Munich who now drops to second place. Paris Saint-Germain is fifth on the list followed by the reigning champions Real Madrid. Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and Ajax wrap up the top 10. Liverpool ranked third, while Chelsea came fourth, Barcelona remained in the same seventh position, Manchester United rose to eighth place, while Juventus fell to ninth place, and finally Ajax Amsterdam jumped to tenth place.
