Argentina’s Central Bank is not issuing A Peso Note Featuring Messi: Reports

The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina discussed putting Messi on the thousand-peso currency note. According to the financial newspaper El Financiero, the regulator bank of Argentina has held a meeting with a desire to mark the historic World Cup win of La Albiceleste. The Central Bank of Argentina has decided issuing an a bank note paper of Lionel Messi, after win the World Cup title for the third time in its history, at the expense of its French counterpart in the final match. Fernando Alonso, a spokesman for the Central Bank of Argentina, told AFP: "We have no intention or project to issue a currency with Messi's image," which confirms that no currency is issued with the Argentine player's image. Messi succeeded in leading the Tango team to regain the World Cup title, which was absent from the South American giants 36 years, since the last coronation in the 1986 edition in Mexico.
