Scaloni: "This team only makes me proud, I want to tell people to enjoy this is historic moment"

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni heaped praise on the team saying they made him proud after the dramatic penalties win over France to lift the World Cup on Sunday. Speaking after the match, Scaloni said he was proud of the performance and said the team made him so proud and the victory belongs to them. He also told the fans to enjoy the win as it was a historic moment for the team. "I'm proud. I'm less excited than on other days but today I'm free. This team only makes me proud, it's all theirs." Scaloni said in remarks after the match ended. "I want to tell people to enjoy because this is a historic moment," said Scaloni. Argentina won their third World Cup in an extraordinary final on Sunday as they beat France 4-2 on penalties after Lionel Messi scored twice in a 3-3 draw and Kylian Mbappe grabbed a hat-trick to bring the holders back from 2-0 and 3-2 down.
At 44 years old, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni is the youngest manager to take charge of a World Cup final since Rudi Völler in 2002 (42), while he could be the youngest to win the trophy since his compatriot César Luis Menotti in 1978 (39).
