Drogba tips Harry Kane after missed a penalty and exits World Cup

Former Ivorian star Didier Drogba has offered Harry Kane his support after the Tottenham striker missed a decisive penalty against France as England fell to a 2-1 defeat in the last eight of the World Cup. 'It will hurt, but you are a true Captain and leader,' said Drogba on Twitter. 'Really like the way you played during this World Cup, an example for strikers to watch: score, assist, hold and lead". About Harry Kane missing a decisive penalty kick, Drogba added: “It will take time to get over it but this will make you stronger”.' The Ivory Coast legend was full of praise for the Three Lions skipper's performances in the tournament and insisted that the experience would only prove to be a benefit in the future. Harry Kane has taken responsibility for England's devastating World Cup exit, saying he is "absolutely gutted" over his penalty miss against France. Asked if the first penalty impacted his thinking, Kane replied: "No. I'm always someone who prepares for getting one or two penalties in a game, I always have an idea of what I want to do.
