Brazil bid farewell the World Cup with a negative record

The Brazilian national team, led by coach Tite, raised the hopes of fans after it bid farewell to the current edition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 , after being defeated by  Croatian counterpart 4-2 on penalties kick-off.

The full time ended in a negative draw, so that the extra halves were resorted to, as each  scored a goal. The 120 minutes  ended in with a draw 1-1 on Friday at the Education City Stadium, in the quarter-finals of the Qatar World Cup 2022.

 According to  “Opta” statistics network,  Brazil  left the World Cup in the quarter-finals in 4 of the last 5 times during which it qualified for this round of the tournament.

Opta added that the Brazilian national team has lost its last 6 knockout matches against European teams, since the Selecao's victory over Germany in the 2002 final.

Brazil won the World Cup title in the last five editions, as its last victory in the World Cup was due to the South Korea and Japan edition in 2002 at the expense of Germany in the final.
