Al-Khelaifi wants Bellingham to join Paris Saint-Germain

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of French football club Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that his club wants to sign English international midfielder Jude Bellingham. The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, affirmed that he wants to sign the England midfielder Jude Bellingham, but any approach would have to go through his club Borussia Dortmund first. Bellingham, 19, has been one of the stars of this year's World Cup, putting in a series of imperious performances as England marched their way to a quarter-final date with France. Bellingham opened England's goals in the Qatar World Cup, during its 6-2 victory over Iran in the first round in the group stage, and also appeared remarkably during the England national team’s 3-0 victory over its Senegalese counterpart in the round of 16 in the tournament.
Bellingham's impressive performance in the World Cup contributed to his shining among candidates for the best young player award in the tournament, while Al-Khulaifi admitted that he wanted to sign the player at Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions. 'Amazing player, what a player. England is lucky to have him, to be honest,' he said. 'He's one of the best players in the tournament, amazing. First world cup, calm and relaxed - but confident. Amazing.' Asked if Paris Saint-Germain wanted to sign Bellingham, Al-Khelaifi said: 'Listen, everybody wants him I'm not going to hide it. But respectfully, he's in his club. If we want him, we're going to talk to his club.' Bellingham is preparing to feature in a heavy-caliber encounter, as he faces his France, the then reigning World Champions in the World Cup quarter-finals next Saturday.
