Messi set to join MLS club co-owned by David Beckham: Reports

Press reports revealed on Sunday that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has reached an agreement to move to Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami at the end of the current season.
According to the "Times" newspaper, there was always talk about Messi's return to his former team Barcelona, Spain, after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of the current season, but he decided to move to the American Professional League.
The American club is co-owned by former England player David Beckham, who is said to be the brains behind the deal. According to The Times report, Messi may become the highest-paid player in MLS history if he puts pen to paper.
Inter Miami seems confident that Messi will sign the deal after the end of the World Cup in Qatar, which saw him score two goals in the first two matches for the Argentine national team, but he will not move to the ranks of the American team until after the end of his contract with St. Germain.
It was reported that Inter Miami, partly owned by former English star David Beckham, would make Messi the highest-paid player in the history of American Soccer.
