England open World Cup in style with an easy rout 6-2 against Iran

England dominated Iran 6-2 in their opening game of the 2022 World Cup.
Jude Bellingham opened the England national team goal festival in the 35th minute, then Bukayo Saka added the second goal in the 44th minute, and a minute later Raheem Sterling scored the third goal.
Bukayo Saka scored the fourth goal for the Three Lions in the 62nd minute, then Marcus Rashford scored the fifth goal in the 71st minute, before Jack Grealish concluded the six-goal against Iran in the last minute of the match.
Jude Bellingham became the nation’s second youngest World Cup scorer behind Michael Owen when he started the rout – the centrepiece of a performance of power, skill and precision – while Bukayo Saka got two of the others, the first a firecracker, as he radiated menace with his every involvement.
While the two goals of the Iranian national team against England were scored by Mahdi Taremi, the Portuguese star of Porto, in the 65th minute and 12 minutes of stoppage time via a penalty kick.
