Lewandowski: Playing with Messi at Barcelona would be a 'dream'

Polish star, Barcelona's top scorer, Robert Lewandowski admitted that it would be his ''dream'' to play with Lionel Messi when asked about the Argentine's possible return to Barcelona.
Lewandowski confirmed that playing alongside Argentine star Lionel Messi is a dream for any striker in the world, stressing that the decision to leave his team Bayern Munich was difficult.
In an interview taken with Spanish outlet Marca, Lewandowski revealed how he is adapting to life at Camp Nou, having moved to Barca from Bayern Munich in the summer. The striker was also quizzed on Messi's potential return to Barca from Paris Saint-Germain, with a potential January transfer being mooted, and conceded that he would welcome the chance to line up alongside the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.
He went on to say:” Messi is absolutely brilliant with the amazing passes he plays to the striker," Lewandowski said. "If you think about Messi, he has this brilliant connection with strikers. He knows how to put the ball into the box, between the lines... he's the best in the world at that.
"I don't know what's going on right now, but for a striker, it would be a dream to play with Lionel Messi for sure." "Argentina with Messi is among the favorites to win the World Cup. They have not lost 30 games. They are playing well and they have a plan as a group." He added.
On the reasons for Barca's exit from the Champions League, the Polish striker said: "I knew that in my first season we would not win everything because this team is in a rebuilding phase and needs time. We should have qualified, but it did not happen. But we learned a lot, especially because we have a lot of Young people, and also because we made some mistakes."
He added: "At the beginning of the new year we will be able to play our best games. Until next season it will be much better and we will have more stability, we had a lot of injuries and as a result, we lost a lot of stability. If you lose stability in the Champions League you will have problems. We were not lucky with injuries. Also, playing with a new system and new players was complicated, but now we have learned and we can move on.”
On leaving Bayern Munich, Leyva said: “Leaving Bayern was a difficult decision but I knew it was time to leave. Everything was under control and I was in my comfort zone, I knew it was time to leave; I wanted to have a long career and be happy. "
