Thomas Muller sets a new record in the German Cup

Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller scored a record in the German Cup, having the lion's share in the Bavarian 5-2 victory over Augsburg on Wednesday in the 32nd round of the German Cup (DFB). Bayern Munich reached the last 16 of the German cup for the first time in three seasons, thanks to a 5-2 comeback victory away at Bavarian neighbors Augsburg. Bayern returned to the venue of their only loss in all competitions so far this season, having gone down 1-0 away at Augsburg in mid-September in the Bundesliga.
Opta network, which specializes in statistics, stated that Thomas Muller won his 52nd match in the German Cup, equaling the record of Mirko Votava as the player with the most victories in the tournament.
Muller appeared in 62 matches during his career with Bayern Munich in the German Cup, during which he scored 33 goals and made 25 others.
