Higuain bursts into tears after playing his last-ever game

Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain broke down in tears after playing the final match of a distinguished career that saw the Argentine score prolifically for Real Madrid, Napoli, and Juventus. Higuain broke down in tears after his team, Inter Miami, lost 3-0 to New York City, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, in the final qualifiers of the American League.
The 34-year-old's final act, however, was a disappointing 3-0 defeat for Inter Miami against New York City FC in the first round of the MLS playoffs. Higuain announced earlier this month that he would retire when Inter Miami's season came to an end and the emotion poured out at the final whistle as the curtain came down on a great career. He scored 121 goals in 264 matches for Real Madrid after they bought him from River Plate in his homeland, helping the Bernabeu club to three Spanish titles. Higuain also scored 31 times in 75 outings for his country Argentina, representing them at three World Cups. He helped his country reach the final in 2014 when they lost 1-0 to Germany.
During his career, the 34-year-old Argentine striker played 785 matches, whether with the clubs he played for or his country's national team, scored 366 goals, provided 127 assists, and won 14 titles.
Higuain wore the shirts of various giant clubs, such as Argentina's River Plate, Spain's Real Madrid, Juventus, Naples, and Milan in Italy, and Chelsea in England.
