Xavi: “El Classico fixtures are always unpredictable..my focus now is on Inter”

Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez, has said the El Clasico fixtures are always “unpredictable”. The Catalans moved back to the top of the La Liga table with a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday, but if they lose the match, they will become runners-up for the Royal Club. Barcelona coach Xavi says in statements published by the (AS) newspaper: “Now I am preparing for Inter. We have to savor these three points because they are important to keep us top. “The Classico is unpredictable. Last year we went into it badly and ended up winning 4-0. Xavi has insisted his focus is now on the Champions League clash against Inter Milan in midweek. However, he shared his thoughts on the trip to Real Madrid next weekend. “We will try to win and show character like we did last season,” Xavi said. Barcelona's crucial week begins now, as Inter travels to Barcelona to face Xavi at Camp Nou, knowing that one point will give them a strong advantage over Barcelona to qualify from their Champions League group, after which Barcelona will enter their first Classico of the season on Sunday afternoon.
