Many African stars succeeded in leaving an impressive scoring marks during their professional career with clubs in the Champions League in recent years. The Ivorian Didier Drogba, the former Chelsea star, tops the list of the best African scorers in the history of the Champions League, with 44 goals, followed by the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, the runner-up with 37 goals.
Mohamed Salah is fast close to increasing his scoring record in the Champions League, when he leads the Reds against his Scottish counterpart Glasgow Rangers, on Tuesday evening, in the third round of the group stage of the Champions League.
