Report: Milan refused to contract with Dybala the last summer for this player!

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed that Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi ignored the signing of Argentine striker Paulo Dybala last summer, and decided not to sell Joaquin Correa for some reasons. The Argentine star had a great start to the season with Roma and scored the equalizer goal against the Nerazzurri in a 2-1 win over the San Siro on Saturday. After holding talks with Pepe Marotta and Inter, Dybala joined Jose Mourinho's squad as a free agent in the summer.
Reports from Italy indicated that the Italian league giants could not afford to sign Dybala without selling one of their strikers. Correa joined Inter on loan from Lazio in 2021 with a commitment to buy for €31 million. According to the report, Inzaghi rejected a potential sale of the Argentine international in the summer, so Inter could not buy another striker after Romelu Lukaku returned to the club.
Correa played under Inzaghi at Lazio, scoring 30 goals in 117 matches at the Stadio Olimpico. Last season, he scored six goals in 36 matches across all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
