Xavi breaks Zidane’s historic record for the longest unbeaten away streak in La Liga

The FC Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández has already written his name into the La Liga history books from his new posting on the Barcelona touchline less than a year after replacing Ronald Koeman in the Catalan capital. Barcelona fought to a 1-0 win away in the Balaeric islands earlier tonight after the Spanish giants outfought Mallorca at the Visit Mallorca Stadium in what turned into a record-breaking night for the Catalan outfit.
Robert Lewandowski's first-half strike earned Barcelona a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Mallorca in LaLiga on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lewandowski’s goal against Mallorca made him the fastest player to score nine Liga goals in the 21st century. The result means Xavi Hernández has become the first ever manager to win his first 18 away fixtures without a single defeat. The win temporarily takes Barça ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table with 19 points, just one point ahead of Real Madrid who will look to maintain their 100% winning start to LaLiga on Sunday when they host Osasuna.
