Ronaldo receives an honorary recognition for being his country’s top scorer 

 
The Portuguese Football Association held the annual Quinas de Ouro awards ceremony on Tuesday evening and Cristiano Ronaldo received honorary recognition for being his country’s top scorer.
In his acceptance speech, the forward insisted that his time with the national team is far from over.“I hope to be part of the Federation for a few more years,” said Ronaldo. ‘I still feel motivated, my ambition is high. My career on the national team is not over. We have a lot of quality young people. I will be at the World Cup and I want to be at the European Championship. ‘
“I am proud to receive an award of this magnitude. I never thought that one day I could reach him. I thank everyone who has been important in my career. It has been a long way, but I would like to say that my road is not over yet. ‘Ronaldo added.
Cristiano Ronaldo said “It has been a long road, but I take this opportunity to say that my road is not over yet. It will cost them a little more with Cristiano. I feel motivated; my ambition is as big as ever. I am in the national team with many young players and I want to participate in this World Cup and also the 2024 Euros. I’d like to say that here and now,” he said.
The Manchester United star is preparing to play two matches with the Portuguese national team against the Czech Republic and Spain in the European Nations League this September.
