Barcelona rose to the top of the Spanish Football League temporarily, after its victory over Elche on Saturday in the sixth stage of the competition. Barcelona now raised its score to 16 points in the first place, and temporarily topped the standings of the competition, one point ahead of Real Madrid, who faces its arch-rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
