After Barcelona's double, Bayern equals Madrid's Records in the Champions League
Bayern Munich Germany's record champions have not lost in 30 group games in Europe's most prestigious club competition. It's an achievement matched only by Real Madrid (2012 to 2017). Bayern has recorded 27 wins in that time, whilst drawing three, and have now won their last nine group matches in a row - seven clean sheets among them. What's more, Bayern has started a Champions League campaign with two successive wins for the 14th time - a competition first.
Bayern Munich beat Barcelona with a clean double, scored by Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sani in the 50th and 54th minutes of the match.
Bayern Munich's official website confirmed that the team had not lost in 30 consecutive matches in the Champions’ League group stage, equaling the record for Real Madrid in the period from (2012 to 2017).
The Bavarian succeeded in 30 consecutive matches unbeaten in the Champions League group stage, winning 27 matches and three draws.
Bayern Munich leads the third group in the Champions League with 6 points, then Barcelona, the runner-up with 3 points, with a goal difference from Inter Milan with the same number of points, in third place, and finally, Viktoria Plzen, the Czech Republic with nil points.
