Chelsea midfielder rejects Todd Boehly's first offer to renew his contract

Chelsea's new owners made the most controversial decision to date last week when sacked Thomas Tuchel as head Boss and quickly replaced him with Graham Potter.
There will be many other important decisions in the near future stemming from this decision, and one of the most pressing concerns is the future of midfielder N'Golo Kante.
Since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016, Kante has continued to achieve extraordinary success for the Blues and England and has established himself among the world's best players in his position.
Reports suggest that N’golo Kante is unwilling to renew his Chelsea contract on the terms he is currently being offered to him. However, the 31-year-old France international has entered the last 12 months of his contract and unless there is progress in talks over an extension, Kante will leave as a free agent next summer.
According to recent reports, the current offer of two years plus an option of a third is not appealing to the Frenchman, with him looking to stay at the club for longer.
The Blues have missed Kante’s presence as much as ever this season, with him not featuring at all since suffering an injury against Tottenham.
Since joining Chelsea, Kante has lifted the Premier League trophy once in 2017 and has since won the FA Cup, Europa League, Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup as well as the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
