Fresh Arsenal injury blow as Elneny suffers hamstring, Gunners looks for a replacement

The latest UK press reports revealed that Arsenal is reeling from news midfielder Mohamed Elneny picked up a bad injury in Saturday’s win over Fulham. The new injury is expected to keep him away from the stadiums for a long time, as the Gunners will try to strengthen the team's midfield before the current summer transfer market closes. The Egypt international is, however, expected to miss Wednesday’s game against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium. Elneny is now being assessed by Arsenal’s medical team as they look to learn how severe the injury is. The 30-year-old Egypt star played on with the knock against the Cottagers. Although the nature and extent of the injury are not yet known, with further scans needed, he will be sidelined for a 'substantial period', according to The Athletic.
The report added that the nature of the Arsenal player's injury has not been determined, but initial reports indicate his absence from the stadiums for a long time. Arsenal may have to sign a new midfielder in the current summer Mercato to replace the Egyptian star, especially in the absence of Ghanaian Thomas Partey due to a muscle problem.
