Griezmann leads Atletico Madrid to overtake Valencia in La Liga

LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to win 1-0 against its host Valencia, scoring his lone goal of in the second halftime at Mestalla stadium in the third round of the Spanish League for the current season. Atletico is fourth in the standings with 36 points, 13 behind leaders and city rivals Real Madrid. Antoine Griezmann scored the winner just a couple of minutes after coming off the bench as Atletico Madrid beat Valencia 1-0 in a feisty LaLiga clash on Monday.

Atletico Madrid's lineup included the following:

The win takes Atletico Madrid to 6th on the La Liga table with 6 points while Valencia drops to 14th after just one win in 3 matches.
