Benzema leads Real to a valuable victory over Espanyol in the La Liga

Real Madrid continued its exciting victories after toppling Espanyol at home (3-1) in a deadly time, Sunday, during a match that brought the two teams together in the third round of the Spanish League. Karim Benzema scored twice in a wild finish as Real Madrid won 3-1 at Espanyol to preserve their 100 percent record after three games of the LaLiga season at the “Power 8” stadium, in the third round of the Spanish League for the current season.
Vinicius Junior’s tidy finish was canceled out by a goal from Joselu, who has made a habit of scoring against Madrid in the 43 minutes since spending three years early in his career with the capital club’s ‘Castilla’ B team.Benjamin Lecomte was sent off after VAR upgraded his yellow for a foul on Dani Ceballos to a red, and as the clock reached the 10th minute of added time, Benzema’s free-kick made it 3-1.
With this result, Real scored the full mark by reaching the ninth point, to sit on the throne of the standings, equal with Real Betis, while Espanyol’s balance froze at one point in the 16th place.

Real Madrid squad against Espanyol included:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
Defenders: David Alba, Rudiger, Militao, Vazquez.
Midfielders: Chuamini, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric.
Forwards: Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema, Valverde.

Real Madrid top of the table after that win, with three victories out of three, only matched by Betis, who beat Osasuna 1-0 this weekend. Real Madrid had won the first two matches of the new season of La Liga, beating Almeria 2-1, followed by Celta Vigo 4-1.
