The Italian club Napoli has signed Giovanni Simeone on loan from Verona, according to the website of the Neapolitan club announced on Thursday. The agreement includes a buyout option for the 27-year-old striker. According to the portal transfer market, the deal amounted to 3.5 million euros. The player’s transfer fee is 17 million euros.
Giovanni Simeone, son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, played for the Argentine clubs River Plate, Banfield, Genoa, Fiorentina, Cagliari and Hellas Verona.
Giovanni scored 17 goals and provided 6 assists in 35 Serie A matches last season for Hellas Verona.
