Qatar SC announces the latest revised schedule for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar

The official account of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy on “Twitter” published the revised schedule for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after the decision of the “FIFA Council” to advance the opening date and the first match between Qatar and Ecuador in the first group from November 21 to 20.
The latest revised schedule included the timing of the upcoming football World Cup in Qatar to start a day earlier than planned to allow hosts Qatar to play the first match. The match between Qatar and Ecuador on Nov. 20 would start at 7 p.m. (1700 GMT) at Al Bayt Stadium, immediately after the World Cup opening ceremony.
While only 3 matches will be held on the second day of the FIFA World Cup, England will face Iran at 14:00 p.m, followed by Netherlands vs. Senegal at 19:00 p.m., and then the match between America and Wales at 22:00 p.m. After that, 4 matches will be played daily until the end of the Group Stage on December 2. The men’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will begin a day earlier than originally scheduled allowing the host nation to play the first game when it faces Ecuador, FIFA — the global governing body for the sport of football — officially confirmed on FIFA Council.
Following a unanimous decision by the Bureau of the FIFA Council, the tournament will now begin on November 20 instead of November 21 when three games had been scheduled, with Senegal vs. the Netherlands previously set to open the event.
“The FIFA World Cup 2022 will kick off with an even greater celebration for local and international fans as host country Qatar will now play Ecuador on Sunday, 20 November at 19:00 as part of a stand-alone event,” a statement from FIFA said. The decision will ensure “the continuity of a long-standing tradition” in which the first match of a World Cup features either the hosts or the defending champions.
It “followed an assessment of the competition and operational implications, as well as a thorough consultation process and an agreement with key stakeholders and the host country,” the statement continued.
As a consequence of this move, Senegal’s match against the Netherlands has been rescheduled from the afternoon to the evening of November 21. However, the release period for players will remain unchanged, beginning on November 14.
“With 100 Days to Go, Qatar is ready. We look forward to welcoming the world for a historic edition of the FIFA World Cup.”The tournament will now take place from November 20 to December 18.
