PSG breaks Goal record in the Ligue 1 

Christophe Galtier’s ideal start to life as PSG head coach continued at the Parc des Princes, as Les Parisiens maintained their 100% record at the start of the Ligue 1 season with a straightforward 5-2 win over Montpellier in the French capital. The victory sees PSG remain at the top of the table in the second round of the competition. PSG got off to the perfect start in their 2022-23 Ligue 1 opener at Stade Gabriel-Monpied as they comfortably dispatched Clermont Foot 5-0 to move to the top of the table after the first matchday. Opta Sports, the British sports analytics company that provides data for 30 sports in 70 countries, revealed that Paris Saint-Germain became the first team to score 10 goals during the first two rounds of the French League, since Reims during the 1961-1962 season.
