PSG thumped Montpellier in their first home Ligue 1 clash 

 
Paris Saint-Germain strengthened their grip at the top of Ligue 1 as Christophe Galtier’s side thrashed their guest Montpellier 5-2 at the Parc des Princes in the second round of the French League 2022-2023. The PSG quartet, Faialo Sakho, scored their own goal, Neymar Jr. (two goals), Kylian Mbappe, and Renato Sanchez, in the 39th, 43rd, 51st, 69th, and 85th minutes. Paris Saint-Germain raised its score to 6 points after opening the new season of the French League beginning the title defense in emphatic style over its host Clermont Foot 5-0.
