Pogba could miss France's World Cup defense in Qatar

The France and Juventus midfielder left Paul Pogba could be ruled out of this year's FIFA World Cup Qatar2022  with a knee injury he suffered in training, according to Italy sports reports. Pogba, who officially rejoined the Italian giants earlier this month, will visit a specialist consultant to determine what treatment is needed. The recent medical examinations that Pogba underwent do not call for optimism at all. According to the Italian La Gazzetta Dello Sport newspaper.
The 29-year-old was expected to have surgery while in the United States instead of traveling with the Serie A giants as they continue their pre-season tour. The newspaper added that Pogba will undergo surgery because his condition is worse than expected, explaining that he faces the risk of absence until the beginning of the next year 2023, and therefore will miss his appearance in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been diagnosed with a tear of the lateral meniscus in his right knee after limping off the training field last week. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, this is not a new injury as such, but rather a result of the constant knee stress that has caused him his muscle problems over the past two years at Manchester United.
