FC Barcelona first member Manuel Manios Gonzalbo dies

FC Barcelona expresses its sorrow for the death of Manuel Manios Gonzalo (1932-2022), the first member in the club’s history who left us on Tuesday at 101 years of age. FC Barcelona wishes to convey its deepest condolences to the family, with whom they are sharing these moments of pain, along with members, supporters of the Club, and the world of football.
The club issued a statement saying: "We regret to announce the death of Manuel Manios Gonzalo, owner of FC Barcelona No. 1, at the age of 101. He has been a member of the club since September 5, 1932, and our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends."
Barcelona will continue their pre-season tour of the US and play its third match with a friendly against Italian side Juventus on early Wednesday morning. Barcelona registered a smashing 6-0 win against Inter Miami last Sunday in a pre-season friendly at Drive Pink Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
