Dan Friedkin involved in negotiations with Al-Khelaifi for Wijnaldum

Roma president Dan Friedkin has intervened in negotiations over the inclusion of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, and both parties are confident of reaching an agreement soon. It is said that Thomas Friedkin, Rome’s president, and Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s president, had a conversation where the president of the Ligue 1 champions offered players who are no longer wanted by the French club and Rome’s manager decided to pursue Wijnaldum’s signing following Jose Mourinho’s approval. The Giallorossi is still strengthening Jose Mourinho's squad ahead of the Serie A season, and Wijnaldum may be the final piece of the puzzle, as talks between Roma and PSG have been going on for a while now and things seem to be moving in a positive way. As reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Friedkin has entered negotiations in order to help things move forward, as he is a friend of PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and both are keen to agree on a move soon. PSG appears willing to pay at least half Wijnaldum's salary, making the deal more accessible for the Giellorossi. Roma will have to move quickly, as the Serie A competition begins. However, the allure of Mourinho's project in the Italian capital could be tempting enough.
