Asensio's destination shifted to the English Premier League

 
Spanish press reports revealed on Thursday that Arsenal, one of north London's two big clubs, is reportedly pushing to sign Marco Asensio from Real Madrid during the current summer transfer period, although Liverpool will seemingly rival them all the way  .The Spanish newspaper AS Sport reported that Arsenal turned to Marco Asensio of Real Madrid after the possibility of losing the two deals of Cody Jacobo from PSV Eindhoven and Rafinha from Leeds United.
The newspaper added that Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is very supportive of the £34 million Real Madrid winger. The 27-year-old Asensio's contract expires in the summer of 2023 and he is looking for a destination in the current summer market.
Various European clubs are interested to sign Marco Asensio, although the most prominent of them are Milan and Liverpool.
