Report: Juventus finalize contract details with Di Maria

Press reports in Argentina revealed that Juventus and Ángel Di Maria’s representation have put the final details on the Argentine winger’s new contract probably on Wednesday. The right-winger took weeks to consider his decision after leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent, choosing between Barcelona and the Bianconeri. Negotiations have escalated rapidly over the past few days as they work out the final details of a one-year contract, worth around €7.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses. According to Argentine reports, Di Maria is set to sign his transfer contract to Juventus on Wednesday. The player is still on vacation in Spain, so it is possible that he has already undergone medical treatment in secret. The 34-year-old has 122 senior caps for Argentina, in which he scored 25 goals and won the Copa America last summer. Di Maria started his football career in Rosario Central, moved to Europe with Benfica in 2007, then crossed Real Madrid, Manchester United, and since 2015 Paris Saint-Germain.
