Will Maguire set for showdown talks with over Man United captaincy 

 
UK press reports revealed that Harry Maguire is set for face-to-face talks with Ten Hag over United captaincy in the new Premier season. Maguire has been subjected to heavy criticism after a woeful campaign last time out despite appearing in 37 games.
Recent reports showed that Maguire's position as captain of the Red Devils was called into question, as Ten Hag reportedly considered potential alternatives .Although Maguire has been described as an "important player" in his first press conference with Manchester United, Ten Hag is set to discuss the captaincy with the England international.
According to The Mirror, Maguire is set for showdown talks with Ten Hag over his position as club captain, although he is keen to retain the team's badge. The 29-year-old is currently on contract with the Red Devils until 2025, having already made 144 appearances for the club since arriving from Leicester City in 2019.
