Man City steps up interest in Arsenal's Bukayo Saka

UK press reports revealed that Manchester City has stepped up their interest in signing Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka. The 20-year-old finished the 2021-22 season as Arsenal's top scorer in all competitions with 12 goals, and 11 scores in 38 Premier League matches. Saka also assisted seven goals in the Premier League during another impressive season with his boyhood club, which failed in their attempts to qualify for the Champions League. Saka is still under contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2024, while Mikel Arteta's side is expected to enter talks over a new contract with the England international soon. According to “The Daily Mail” newspaper, Pep Guardiola is closely monitoring the player’s future developments, and that City is not expected to continue a move for the English player in the next transfer period, but optimism has grown about a future transfer after Arsenal finished fifth in the league.
Saka has so far made 131 appearances for Arsenal since coming via Hill End academy, scoring 23 goals and making 29 more in the process.
